Clarion Events has grown into a highly successful
business. In 2008 alone, over 600,000 carefully
targeted people visited our 100 exhibitions,
conferences and seated events across Britain,
Europe, North and South America, Africa, Middle East
and Asia. They came to see, hear, touch, taste,
smell, buy and learn about thousands of products
from more than 12,000 companies.
Our events, business-to-business and
business-to-consumer, serve 15 different market
sectors from leisure and entertainment to finance,
from retail to gaming and from fine art to energy.
We have become one of the largest independent and
one of the top three organising companies in the
country. Currently Clarion Events employs a talented
staff of 280+ people in twelve offices: UK (London
Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London Hatton Garden,
Cheltenham and Birmingham NEC); Germany (Bielefeld);
The Netherlands (Maarsen); South Africa (Cape Town);
USA (Connecticut and Reno): Brazil (Sao Paulo);
Dubai (UAE); Singapore.
The company has grown profits by more than 300%
since undertaking an MBO in 2004. In that time
Clarion has completed eight acquisitions, launched
fifteen events and entered into three joint venture
partnerships. In 2006 Clarion entered the Sunday
Times Buyout Track 100 in 44th position, rising to
32nd in the 2007 list.
In February 2008, Clarion Events was acquired by
Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a US private equity firm
specialising in the media, information and education
